List of Medal-Winning Colleges in GEMASTIK XIV 2021

Kemendikbudristek through the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) in collaboration with Telkom University held an inter-campus competition entitled National Student Show in Information and Communication Technology (GEMASTIK). This event was held for the 14th time, which was held from 4-7 October 2021 online or online.

This year’s GEMASTIK XIV carries the theme, “ICT For Indonesia Rises Towards a Better Nation’s Life” which is a hope and a means of proving that students can express their creativity in mastering the field of ICT and build good relationships between universities with one another.

Telkom University Bandung is one of the universities trusted to host the GEMASTIK XIV 2021 with efforts to facilitate 3,164 teams during the competition.


Acting (Plt.) Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek), Nizam hopes that through GEMASTIK the participants can learn about the meaning of self-motivation and practice knowledge in the field of ICT.

“Through this GEMASTIK event, participants learn about self-motivation to excel, and learn to be able to implement knowledge of ICT competencies through the Merdeka Campus,” he said, quoted from the page on Thursday (14/10).

The GEMASTIK XIV 2021 Competition will hold 11 branches/contest divisions in the field of Information and Communication Technology, both in competition formats and posters. In addition to 11 branches/competition divisions, GEMASTIK XIV also involved two esports exhibitions for the Mobile Legends electronic sport: Bang Bang and Valorant.

Various universities in Indonesia participated in the GEMASTIK XIV competition. From various campuses, there are 10 universities that won the most medals. The following is a list of campuses that won the most medals in GEMASTIK XIV 2021:

  1. November Ten Institute of Technology (ITS),
  2. Bandung Institute of Technology,
  3. Telkom University,
  4. Bina Nusantara University,
  5. Pelita Harapan University,
  6. Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto,
  7. Lambung Mangkurat University,
  8. Kuala Shiite University,
  9. Mataram University and,
  10. University of Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Head of the ITS Contingent at Gemastik XIV, Ika Nukasanah said that ITS managed to bring home two gold medals, two silver medals and five bronze medals from a total of 28 teams that entered the final round. According to him, the team has put all its best and deserves the award.

Reporting from the ITS official website, there are eleven competition categories that the ITS contingent will participate in. According to Ika, the preparations made by ITS representatives in this year’s GEMASTIK can be said to be quite optimal. He hopes that ITS can again defend its general title at GEMASTIK XV next year.

In addition to the victory of ITS as one of the universities that managed to reach the top 10 in this year’s GEMASTIK competition. The following is a list of winners from each branch/division of the competition in GEMASTIK XIV 2021:

Programming Division

  • 1st Place: Proof by Clarification Team from Bina Nusantara University,
  • Second Place: Team Ayaka Sayu Venti from the University of Indonesia,
  • Third Place: The Team Hopefully Get an Account from the Bandung Institute of Technology
  • Champion of Hope: Team Dolanan Wae from the University of Indonesia.

Cyber ​​Security Division (Cyber ​​Security)

  • 1st Place: The Average Team is an online enjoyer from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology,
  • Second Place: Anonymous Team from Gunadarma University,
  • Third Place: AMIKOM DEEPWEEB Team from Amikom University Yogyakarta
  • Champion of Hope: Abandoned Team from Bina Nusantara University.

Data Mining Division (Data Mining)

  • First Winner: ILY Team from Bandung Institute of Technology,
  • Second Place: AZMI ATMAAYA PRATAMA Team from Telkom University,
  • Third Place: Nasi Goreng Team from Bandung Institute of Technology,
  • Runner Up: Signal Team from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology
  • The Most Inspiring Award by the Onet v.2 team from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
